Downstage Theatre is a company of resilience and resourcefulness; two critical factors in any creative endeavour.
The governance structure is a triumvirate consisting of the Downstage Theatre Trust, The Downstage Theatre Society Inc., and the Hannah Playhouse Trust. They variously play integral roles: supporting and developing our governance and business operations; fundraising and advocacy, strategic direction and the relevance of our artistic vision.
A small team of ten staff ensure quality, professional management and care of the showcase program and our partners. We are also committed to providing unique audience experiences with an intrinsically New Zealand flavour.
